Rules & Etiquette - "The Spirit of the Game":
Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. Members of the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf learn to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they maybe. This is the "Spirit of the Game".
Members are required to learn a basic set of golf rules and points of etiquette in order to advance to the next level. A basic knowledge of the Rules of Golf also helps to make the game more enjoyable.
Golf Equipment:
Clubs will be provided for clinics if a member does not have her own. Golf equipment may be purchased at favorable rates at Furman Golf Clubs Pro Shop.
